What a Sound Healing Session Feels Like from the Inside

Most people have never experienced sound healing. They've maybe heard of it, scrolled past a video of someone playing crystal bowls, and thought it looked interesting but weren't quite sure what to make of it. If that's you, let me try to paint a picture.
Because words don't fully do it justice. But I'll try.
In a group sound bath, you start by settling in on the floor. Blanket, pillow, knees propped up if that feels good. You get as comfortable as you possibly can, close your eyes, and begin connecting with your breath. The room gets quiet. And then the sound begins.
At first it's subtle. Light. Your brain does what brains do and starts trying to make sense of it, listening for notes the way you'd listen to a song. You're still in your head, still aware of the room, still you.
But then something shifts.
At some point, and it's different for everyone, you stop listening and start feeling. The sound moves through you rather than past you. Your energy body begins to shake loose of the physical, and it's like you're dancing in the ethers with the music. It becomes a deep meditation, but one you didn't have to work for. The vibrations do it for you.
Depending on the bowls and the practitioner, it can feel like your brain is being flossed by the frequency moving through it. Like something is being cleared and reorganized at a level you can't quite name.
And then it slowly draws to a close. The sound fades. You come back into your body.
And you feel like you've just returned from vacation.
Rested. Peaceful. Like you could lay there for another hour and no one would have to convince you.
The one-on-one experience is similar, but more intimate.
In a private session, you're on my table. I work with tuning forks, crystal bowls, gong bowls, chimes, and other instruments depending on what your body seems to need that day. Sometimes I stay at the head of the table. Other times I move around you, following the energy, letting the sound find the places that need it most.
What I witness from where I'm standing is always moving. Some people twitch as the vibration reaches a place that's been holding tension. Some cry without knowing exactly why, the way you do when something finally releases. Some go so deeply still and relaxed that they look like they're sleeping. And sometimes I can feel the energy in the room physically shift as a person is carried somewhere deeper than where they started.
You don't have to do anything. You don't have to understand it or believe in it perfectly. You just have to be willing to receive it.
Sound healing works because your body is already made of frequency. Every cell vibrates. Your nervous system responds to sound whether you're consciously aware of it or not. When the right frequency meets the right place, something that has been stuck can finally move.
It's one of the gentlest and most profound things I offer. And once you've experienced it, you'll understand why people come back for it again and again.
